Every day will bring something different at Fall in Love with Lents, Feb. 11-13: one of the events on Saturday 2/12 will be the outdoor East PDX Art Fair, showcasing art and goods by local artists – some made right here in our own neighborhood!
We are so excited to announce some of the first artists to be included at our East PDX Art Fair on Saturday, 2/12, 11AM -4PM:
Yathzi Turcot
Yathzi Turcot is a queer, multidisciplinary artist whose work spans photography, painting and mixed media. She grew up in Actopan, Hidalgo, Mexico and graduated from Portland State University with a BA in Art Practices, she is also a Navy veteran. Her work is inspired by highlighting textures often overlooked. Her themes are broad and expressive, with oneiric content. Yathzi has been a member of IdeALPDX (Latino American Artists Exchange) since 2016, and has collaborated with them on mural projects as well as many collective exhibitions. As a teaching artist, she aims to inspire and share her Mexican roots and folklore. You can find more about her work on FLICKR, Instagram, and Facebook.

Rustic Indulgence in the form of home baked treats. I am a small, home kitchen turning out old school, delicious recipes all made from scratch. Hi there! I’m Sam and I’m an artist 🙂 color is a huge part of my work and a constant source of inspiration. as a person with a bit-more-than-usual anxiety, artwork helps me quiet my busy brain and, as a result, untangle some of my more muddled thoughts. I use many different types of media and create many different types of pieces as I love to explore and try new things but also love to make items that are accessible to all, regardless of finances or familiarity with art. It’s not too late to apply! We are still accepting applications (for artists, vendors *and* performers) and announcing participants on a rolling basis! To increase accessibility, booth fees are sliding scale (applicant self-selects). Financial aid available for low income artists and vendors, and our organization is especially devoted to increasing accessibility for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, houseless, disabled, and other marginalized artists!
If you’ve applied, make sure you are checking your email for email notifications – you have to confirm that you are accepting before we can announce you.

What is Fall in Love with Lents? It’s a 3-day event in Lents, February 11-13, 2022 – organized by folks who live, work, and play here – that aims to build community, celebrate art + people, and activate Lents Town Center by providing opportunities accessible to all members of our diverse East Portland community to connect, create, explore, right in the heart of our community! @fallinlovewithlents is a partnership with @lentsgrown and @four_forces_inc, with support from City of Portland Events Action Table grant.
